Richie Hayward Benefit
Richie Hayward, Little Feat's percussion extraordinaire, has liver cancer. Like many musicians (and way too many Americans, in general), Hayward lacks sufficient health insurance to cover surgery and treatment. Follow the link below to give a few bucks; give an incredible musician the chance to live, recover, and perform again.

Sales Plummet; Stocks Soar?
Yup. Leave it to Tiffany & Co and Williams-Sonoma to completely buck the trend. Amid dismal sales and double-digit quarterly losses, both retailers' stock prices saw steady INCREASE from Q2 to Q3. BNET columnist, Ian Ritter, reported Tiffany & Co same-store sales dropped 27%. Though earnings weren't as crummy as expected, they were crummy.
Now, take Williams-Sonoma. Company stock peaked near $19.20 whereas, a year ago, they dipped to $4.35; revenue was reported at $399,000, down from $18.5Million the same time last year. (That's not a typo...it's a near $17Million discrepancy!)
Remember, the brand is just as valuable an asset as an organization's tangible assets. So, it begs the question: how reliable is the price of an organization's stock as an indicator of an organizations perceived value?
